Cocktail Concoction: Cider & Spice
This cocktail can be served hot or cold. What you’ll need:
You can buy mulling spices or get more DIY with it. No matter how you approach this recipe, it is the perfect fall drink. If mulling yourself, I recommend warming a half gallon of cider in a sauce pan with 8oz of grape juice or a dry red wine, 2 cinnamon sticks, 5 cloves, and a few dashes of nutmeg. Do not boil!
3oz Mulled Cider
If hot: warm cider in a saucepan on the stove or microwave. Pour rum into a coffee mug and top with hot cider and a sprinkle of cinnamon.
If cold: pour room temperature or cold cider and rum in a cocktail shaker with ice. Shake and strain into a chilled martini glass garnish with a sprinkle of cinnamon
