Countdown to The Overlook Film Festival April 27-30

Earlier this afternoon The Overlook Film Fest finally released their film lineup. With only two weeks to go, seasoned film fest and con goers in the Portland area have been asking, "What's taking so long?"

While information has been scarce since the announcement of the fest back in October of 2016, now it's all been made clear - this festival is coming on strong and looking to make a wonderfully horrific impression at the Timberline Lodge on April 27th. Programming is going to include 37 films (20 features and 17 shorts) from 16 different countries - including four world premieres and one North American premiere.

It's shaping up to be a real "who's who" with numerous guests and attendees that any horror fan should recognize:

 - Roger Corman will be receiving the Master of Horror Award and will follow up with a live recording of Mick Garris's Post Mortem with Mick Garris.

- Glenn McQuaid and Larry Fessenden will be inviting attendees to tune in as Glass Eye Pix presents Tales from Beyond the Pale, an ongoing series of audio dramas written by contemporary horror greats and performed by both up and coming horror stars as well as genre mainstays.

- Ryan Turek (Blumhouse Productions) and Sam Zimmerman (Shudder) will be testing festival goers delicious brains with Dead Right Horror Trivia

With all that and more, we're going to be talking about this from now until the festival, and likely beyond! In the coming days we will be writing more about the film lineup, delving a bit more into the films that are to be screened at the festival - so stay tuned!
